My second week with ‘Three Things Thursday’ is here. First week of my vacation was quiet good. Usually first weeks are boring, but this time it was fun. So, what made me smile this week?
- WrestleMania: –
If you have read my last week’s ‘Three Things Thursday’ post, you may have seen the same sub-heading there. Last week I was excited about WrestleMania, but this time I am happy about it. It was really four hours of entertainment. I enjoyed it, the script was good too. The ‘Monday Night Raw’ after WrestleMania was also good.
- Indian Recognition at the Cricket World Cup: –
Australia won the Cricket World Cup, 2015 and they deserved it. They were a great team. Steve Smith and Mitchell Starc were the best performers from Australia (for me). Though India was eliminated by the winners in the Semi-Finals, there was some ‘Indian Recognition’ at the World Cup Award ceremony – N. Srinivasan and Sachin Tendulkar. I was happy to see N. Srinivasan getting booed and Sachin Tendulkar getting cheered at Australia. That was a great moment.
- Liverpool All Star Charity Match: –
It was held on 29th of March. It was nice to see great players, like Didier Drogba, Thierry Henry and John Terry, take part in such a charity match (especially when it is conducted by your rival team). After all Football is all about respect. It was also nice to see Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez teaming up on their Anfield return. Players like Xabi Alonso, Pepe Reina, Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Luis Garcia, John Arne Riise, etc made the match a memorable one. Seeing all of them on the same pitch would bring smiles on the faces of every football fan.
That’s it. Thank You,
