Health is an important factor in our life. Some people do not take care of it and end up being obese or unhealthy. They will be victims of different diseases. Laziness, over eating, etc will lead you to lose of health.

Maintaining your health is a not a difficult thing to do. People have passion for food, but that does not mean you have to kill your health. You can maintain your health and also your passion for food at the same time. But you will have to work for it.

In this article, I will try to explain 5 things you can do to maintain your health.

  1. Food Habits: –

    I am a lover of food and you too maybe. But you should never over eat. Eating a limited amount of food will keep your passion for that food alive and also will keep you alive (longer). 1/3rd of your stomach should contain food, 1/3rd of it should contain water and the last 1/3rd should be left for air. You will be completely satisfied of your diet if you eat this way. You can keep yourselves healthy and replete. It is good if you completely avoid junk, but it may be impossible for some of you. Try to cut off junk as much as possible and one day you may be able to quit it completely. Try to focus on Vitamin and Protein foods, because two things are the best for your health.

  2. Exercise: –

    Some people take this topic too easily, but you should not do that. Exercise is a very important thing in our lives. We should not avoid it. No matter how busy you are, you should find time to do some exercises. My preferences would be push-ups, sit-ups and jogging. But you can do any exercise of your choice. It would be good if you get into sports, because sports can offer you more than what exercise can do (in my opinion). The exercises I mentioned above will help you to gain abs too. Try to get involved in sports, in which your whole body gets involved. This will guarantee the good functioning of your body parts. I prefer outdoor games to indoor games.

  3. Sleep: –

    Sleep is very necessary in a person’s life. A normal person should have at least 6 hours of sleep in a day. My preference would be 8 hours. I am a school kid and I have much time compared to other busy workers. No matter how busy you are, you should sleep 6 hours a day to stay healthy. And if you think you can easily hold your sleep for a long time, you are wrong. Maybe you can do it but it is going to affect your health badly. Some people keep on tapping on their iPhones and end up sleeping at only 1 AM in the morning. This is not good for you. You have to stop doing it. My advice will be going to bed at 10 PM and waking up at 5 AM or 6 AM. Remember, you need 6-8 hours of sound sleep for a healthy life. This will help your physical health and mental health.

  4. Yoga and Meditation: –

    Being healthy is not just a matter of being physically fit; you should be mentally fit too. Yoga has two gains. One, it will make you mentally fit. Two, it will make you more flexible. Some people may have a good physique but that does not mean they are healthy. If you are not at least able to touch your toes without bending your knees, you are not fit. So you should do some yoga, which will make you flexible. Meditation can bring peace into your minds. It helps you swallow your anger. Anger is a piece of waste. If you are person of high temper, you should do meditation. You should learn to swallow it. If you become angry too often, it means you have some mental health problems. Try and allot some time in a week for doing yoga and meditation.

  5. Other Health Tips: –

    Quit Alcohol and Smoking

    Quit alcohol and smoking. Just quit it. If you do all the above things and if you are an alcoholic or a smoker, there is no use of doing exercise, yoga or anything. You may do exercise and yoga but you are sending something inside your body which can kill you from inside. Alcohol has its plus points, but it has more negative points. Smoking is a ‘zero gain’ thing. I do not know why people are addicted to it. What is so special in it? Is it so addictive because it can kill you even without you knowing? I am saying this because I have care for you, quit it. You are just throwing away your wealth and also your health.

So, these are my 5 tips to a healthy life. Please follow these tips. I say this, because I care you. I just want to see the people around me living a healthy life. I don’t think these steps are hard to follow. You just have to get into it and make it a routine and you can see your life changing.
